Pilea peperomioides Pass It On Plant
Enjoy adorable almost perfectly round leaves on Pilea peperomioides, the Pass It On Plant. Fleshy green, coin-shaped leaves each grow out of the end of a green stem. Unlike most leaves which attach to the stem at a leaf edge, the stem is attached right in the center of each leaf, giving this plant a unique almost fake-looking form. Each leaf front features a little light green to yellow dot where the stem connects to the back of the leaf.
Known as the Pass It On Plant because when happy this plant prolifically makes cute little babies that are great gifts for friends and family. Prefers bright direct light, but is tolerant of indirect light. Pet friendly. Water only when soil is dry. Also known as the Chinese money plant, the UFO plant, the coin plant, and the pancake plant.
