For an easy houseplant, try Parallel Peperomia, Peperomia puteolata. This trailing houseplant tolerates neglect and still looks great. It first grows compact and upright, making it an excellent choice for smaller areas. Its stems will trail as time passes, making it nice to hang over pots or as a hanging plant. Its beautiful leaves liven up any room.

It prefers a humid spot and benefits from sitting on a tray of pebbles and water. Just be sure the plant does not sit in the water. This easy-going plant is very forgiving about being miss-watered.
