Monarda – Balmy Purple Bee Balm
SKU: n/a.A superior small variety that blooms earlier than others, Balmy Purple Beebalm, Monarda, features rosy purple flowers on dwarf 10-12″ mounds of compact foliage in late spring and summer. It is said to have the best mildew resistance of all. It blooms like crazy. It is also deer and rabbit-resistant. Its aromatic foliage smells like mint and can be used to flavor teas.
A pollinator powerhouse! The flowers’ sweet nectar attracts hoards of hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees to the garden.
Plant Beebalm in average to rich soil in full sun. Keep watered, especially when plants are setting up buds and blooming.
