Magnolia Burgundy Star
SKU: n/a.Bred in New Zealand by revered Magnolia breeder Mark Jury, Magnolia Burgundy Star stuns with large light fragrant blooms up to 10″ across in spring. The intense claret red color stands out in the spring garden. Growing 11′ tall, but only about 3′ wide, Burgundy Star can be used as a small focal point, a living wall, placed against a house, or planted anywhere height is needed, but space is limited.
Plant Magnolia Burgundy Star in sun to part shade in slightly acidic, moist, fertile well-drained soils. Amend with compost when planting and keep well watered. Fertilize with a fertilizer specifically for acid-loving plants like Holly-Tone.
