Then like magic, the brilliant flowers reappear in late summer to fall. A well-branched selection with many flowers. A vigorous variety that many consider one of the best reblooming Iris, and some even say the best reblooming Iris.
Pure as Gold Repeat Blooming Bearded Iris makes a spectacular cut flower. It is very easy to grow in full sun. Repeat Blooming German Iris prefers well-drained soil. Deer and rabbit-resistant. Although German Iris are drought tolerant, the Repeat German Iris need consistent moisture throughout summer to repeat bloom best.
Won a major award from the American Iris Society: Award of Merit winner. The AM is one of the most coveted awards. Irises are judged on their performance in gardens across the US and Canada, and awards are given based on flower form, color, number of buds, branching, and substance.
Important growing tip: To encourage repeat bloom, keep your Iris well-watered and fertilized during summer. After the first flush of blooms remove spent flowers before the seeds set. This will direct the energy into beefing up your plant for the next round of blossoms.
