Hydrangea paniculata – Little Quick Fire Panicle Hydrangea
A breakthrough Hydrangea, Little Quick Fire Panicle Hydrangea blooms earlier than most other paniculata varieties, up to a month earlier. Aptly named, the flowers turn to a rich deep pink before others even begin to show flowers. A dwarf Panical Hydrangea, it reaches only 3-5′ tall and wide. It makes a stunning cut and dried flower. Little Quick Fire Panicle Hydrangea prefers full sun to part shade.
Panicle Hydrangeas bloom on the current season’s growth. They can be pruned in late winter to early spring. You can cut them back to the ground, or if you want taller plants cut them back to 1-3′ feet.
Plant in sun to light shade. Keep well watered while the plant is getting established, when it is setting up its buds and blooming.
