With jumbo petals on huge panicles, Alice N’ Wonderland Oakleaf Hydrangea, Hydrangea quercifiolia, is the life of the garden (tea) party! In spring and summer the Snow-White petals bloom on this (seven) dwarf plant. Growing 5′ tall and wide Alice N’ Wonderland reaches about half the size of the classics. As flowers fade, they dry to a pretty red if the shrubs are kept watered. In fall the dissected leathery leaves turn brilliant shades of red and purple.

Use Alice N’ Wonderland Oakleaf Hydrangea as a showy specimen, or for a breathtaking hedged. It looks beautiful in woodland and shady gardens. Its flowers are fantastic cut fresh or dried.

Plant Oakleaf Hydrangeas in part to full shade. Will tolerate full sun if given enough water. Oakleaf Hydrangeas prefer regular moisture and fertile soils. For optimum bloom keep well watered especially when plants are setting up buds and blooming, and during dry spells.
