Use Prairie Smoke in naturalized areas, prairies, and native gardens. It makes an attractive and interesting addition to rock gardens. It grows 16″ tall and is deer-resistant. It is also known as Torch Flower, Long-Plumed Purple Avens, Lion’s Beard, and Old Man’s Whiskers.

Growing instructions: It is easy to grow in part shade. Bright filtered light or morning sun with afternoon shade is ideal. It benefits from a break from the hot afternoon sun. Keep well watered when the plant is getting established, setting up buds and blooming, and during dry spells. Good winter drainage is a must.
