Eupatorium – Euphoria Ruby Joe Pye Weed
A superior selection of the beloved Joy Pye Weed, Euphoria Ruby Eupatorium is similar to its giant cousin but with a considerably longer bloom time and is much shorter at just 2-2.5′ tall. Its large ruby-red blossoms appear much earlier in the summer than typical Joe-Pye Weed varieties and will have a bloom time extending well into late summer and fall. A favorite of butterflies and deer resistant. Its attractive seed heads offer winter interest.
Its manageable size compared to others makes it ideal for smaller gardens, pollinator gardens, perennial beds, cottage gardens, and even containers. It is very easy to grow in sunny locations.
Plant in full sun to light shade. Although it can withstand drought, keep well watered, especially when plants are setting up buds and blooming.
