Coreopsis – Li’l Bang Starlight Tickseed
SKU: n/a.$13.99
A magical plant, Li’l Bang Starlight Tickseed, Coreopsis, will enchant you with its fascinating flowers that change color. The flowers appear for months in summer and fall, and change color based on the temperature. You’ll be mesmerized watching the flowers transform. During the warm days of summer, the pearly-white petals are highlighted by rich magenta. In fall as the weather cools, all the petals turn deep magenta, creating a stunning display with its bright yellow center. Starlight makes a charming, long-lasting cut flower. It forms a pretty mound of highly disease-resistant, dark-green foliage. It is a fantastic plant that can replace annuals in gardens and containers.
2025 Perennial Of The Year – Li’l Bang Coreopsis Series
Li’l Bang Starlight is a member of the exceptional Coreopsis Li’l Bang Series. These naturally compact cultivars exhibit excellent disease resistance and a long bloom time. They are the perfect size for container gardening, rock gardens, and the front of the border. Fabulous in containers alone or mixed with other plants, their bright colors bring excitement and zip, creating memorable pots that grab all eyes. The plants grow 8-12″ tall x 15-18″ wide.
Li’l Bang Coreopsis make fantastic choices for those who want the blooming power and look of an annual but don’t want to replant every year. They look beautiful in perennial gardens, mass plantings, and as easy-to-care-for ground covers. Coreopsis are easy to grow, making them a good choice for beginners and seasoned gardeners. Plant Coreopsis in full sun, at least 6 hours of good sun a day. Although not fussy about soil, they perform best in soil that has been amended with organic matter. Coreopsis are tolerant of drought but will bloom best with consistent moisture. Keep new plants well-watered until they are established. Although no deadheading is required, shearing plants in midsummer will tidy up the plants and encourage them to rebloom.
