Clematis Sapphire Indigo
You’ll be enjoying masses of sapphire blue flowers for months with Sapphire Indigo Clematis. True to its name, this jewel’s long-lasting 5″ indigo ink blossoms fade to deep blue. Even Sapphire Indigo Clematis’ centers are elegant with intricate dark purple to black anthers. A continuous profusion of blossoms appears from June – September.
Sapphire Indigo Clematis can be trained as a climber, or grown as a shrubby, weed-smothering ground cover with no support. Sapphire Indigo Clematis looks fabulous spilling over walls and also makes a fantastic hanging basket. Growing to a height of 4′ on a trellis, or 3′ tall and 3′ wide as a shrub. It grows well in either full sun or partial shade. And if all that wasn’t enough, it is very low maintenance, needing no pruning.
