Chasmanthium latifolium – Northern Sea Oats
SKU: n/a.A popular Missouri native perennial grass Northern Sea Oats, Chasmanthium, features bamboo-like foliage. This beautiful wonder creates a gorgeous sight with its slightly arching form that is decorated with interesting flowers in late summer. Its attractive flat seed heads, which resemble sea oats, hang on slender stems and persist into winter turning reddish bronze. Wonderful as a cut and dried flower. An excellent choice for the shade garden.
Northern Sea Oats easily grows in most soils and in any sun conditions. It makes an attractive ground cover and even grows under trees where little else will grow.
Plant in full sun, part shade, or shade.
