Cercis – Pink Pom Poms Redbud Tree
SKU: n/a.If you adore our Missouri native Redbud, get ready to fall in love again once you see Pink Pom Poms Redbud Tree, Cercis. Utterly fascinating, one-of-a-kind, fully double, pink flower clusters, looking like mini pink pom poms, emerge in spring and are followed by large, green, heart-shaped foliage. Another outstanding feature is that this plant will not produce seed pods. It was developed by the JC Raulston Arboretum at NC State University.
A small tree, Pink Pom Poms Redbud only grows about 12′ tall and wide. This petite size makes it a fun and interesting choice as a garden specimen. It also works great as a foundation plant.
Plant Redbud in sun to part shade in average to well-drained soils. In drier locations, Redbud will be happier with some afternoon shade.
