Buxus – Sprinter Boxwood
SKU: n/a.Sprinter Boxwood delights with glossy evergreen foliage that is attractive year-round, and holds up well to winter weather. Upright habit is ideally suited for low hedging and landscaping. Disease and pest resistant and quick-growing.
Growing instructions: Plant in shade to part sun. When planting, amend the soil with compost. Plant slightly higher than the soil level of the container and mulch with 1-2″ of a nice hardwood mulch to help retain moisture. Boxwoods prefer slightly acidic to neutral soil. Prune only if a certain shape is desired or to remove any winter tip burn or other damage. Boxwoods may be pruned after spring frost danger has passed, typically around mid-April in St. Louis. Keep well watered when establishing the plant. Even though it is tolerant of drought, Boxwood benefits from a good soaking during prolonged dry weather. Few disease or pest issues when planted and cared for properly. No spraying is necessary! Superior boxwood blight resistance. Deer-resistant as well!
