Buddleia – Prince Charming Butterfly Bush
SKU: n/a.$19.99
Unlike any other Prince Charming Butterfly Bush, Buddleia, produces one-of-a-kind deep cerise-pink flower panicles. A color breakthrough for the genus, its 10″ flowers are saturated with rich raspberry-pink hues. At 4′ tall this medium-size shrub is the perfect height as a background for perennial borders, for the middle of the border, or as a hedge. Its intensely colored flowers begin to appear in summer. A member of the outstanding Monarch Butterfly Bush series. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators adore their honey-scented blossoms.
Buddleia is very easy to grow in full sun, are deer and rabbit resistant, and drought tolerant. They are not picky about soil as long as it drains well.
Plant in full sun in well-draining soil. Although extremely drought tolerant, plants will bloom best with consistent moisture. Plants may die back to the ground in winter. In spring, cut out all dead wood, cut back live wood to about 12″. Buddleia break dormancy in late spring and are usually among the last plants to leaf out.
