Buddleia – Chrysalis Cranberry Butterfly Bush
SKU: n/a.Vibrant Blossoms On A Petite Plant!
Chrysalis Cranberry Butterfly Bush, Buddleia, begins blooming in late spring and won’t stop until frost! The jewel-toned cranberry blossoms have a light sweet frarance and beloved by butterflies and other pollinators. Growing about 2′ tall and wide this dwarf Butterfly Bush is ideal for use as a small hedge or mixed into perennial butterfly gardens.
Buddleia is easy to grow in full sun, is deer and rabbit-resistant, and is drought-tolerant. It is not picky about soil as long as it drains well.
Plant in full sun in well-draining soil. Although extremely drought tolerant, plants will bloom best with consistent moisture. Plants may die back to the ground in winter. In spring, cut out all dead wood and cut back live wood to about 12″. Buddleia breaks dormancy in late spring and is usually among the last plants to leaf out.
