VERSATILE and VIBRANT, it’s KICKIN’ LILAC BLUE ASTER. Adored for its beautiful yellow-centered daisies in cool, eye-catching lilac, along with its excellent mounded form that stays neat all year. Kickin’ Lilac Aster boasts excellent cut flower quality due to its multiple layers of ray florets. In late summer and fall, every square inch of the foliage is covered in blossoms. 2-3’ tall. Butterflies delight in their sweet nectar. No pinching is needed. So great, this Aster kicks you-know-what.
Growing instructions: Asters perform best in full sun and grow fine in average soil, but for best results, add a shovelful or two of compost and a bit of slow-release fertilizer when planting. Although drought tolerant, keep well watered, especially when plants set up buds and blooming. To encourage branching for a bushier, shorter plant, pinch growing tips before the 4th of July.
