Ajuga – Chocolate Chip Bugleweed
Chocolate Chip Bugleweed, a minuscule and unusual Ajuga, has rich, chocolate-colored spatulate leaves that measure only one-half inch wide. Blue flowers appear in spring. A ground huger which is only a couple of inches tall. A top choice for small spaces or as an underplanting. A true dwarf! Long-lived perennial.
Chocolate Chip Bugleweed makes a fantastic addition to containers. Chocolate Chip Ajuga matures to a carpet of weed-smothering glossy foliage. Like many Ajuga, Chocolate Chip makes an ideal ground cover.
Plant in shade to part shade. For best results, keep well watered, especially during dry spells. Plants can easily be divided.
