HARDY TREE AND SHRUB GUARANTEE
At Sugar Creek Gardens, we strive to grow high quality, healthy plants that are true to name. Follow the care instructions for your plants and they should thrive.
We guarantee hardy trees and shrubs for full replacement 60 days from time of purchase. A replacement plant will be given. After 60 days, we will extend our guarantee for 4 months for ½ the original price. If a replacement plant of identical price and/or similar size is not in stock, the purchaser will be issued a credit. No cash refunds or credit card adjustments will be issued on perished plants. Receipts, along with dead plant or photo, must be presented for merchandise credit due to loss of plants. We do not guarantee Crape Myrtles, Butterfly Bushes, or Caryopteris. We do not guarantee shrubs left in pots or planted in containers.
We’ve worked hard to identify perennials, trees and shrubs that deer and rabbits are less likely to eat – considered “deer resistant” or “rabbit resistant” – but NO PLANT IS DEER OR RABBIT PROOF. We do not guarantee against deer or rabbit damage. Please ask a staff member about different products and/or strategies that can be implemented and used to protect your investment.
OTHER PLANTS GUARANTEE
Sugar Creek does not guarantee perennials, vines, roses, ornamental grasses, ferns and houseplants, annuals, herbs and vegetables. If you are having trouble with any of these plants, please call us immediately. Usually we can figure out the problem and get your plant to thrive.
TREES, SHRUBS AND ROSES PLANT RETURN POLICY
- Trees, shrubs and roses may be returned within 7 days of purchase if they have not been removed from their original container.
- Receipts must be presented with merchandise.
- Plants should be healthy and not damaged.
PERENNIALS, VINES, ANNUALS, TROPICALS, FERNS, HOUSEPLANTS, SEASONAL PLANTS
- We do not accept returns of perennials, vines, annuals, tropicals, ferns, houseplants, and seasonal plants.
- All sales are final.
MERCHANDISE (NOT PLANTS) RETURN POLICY
- Returns accepted within 7 days of purchase.
- All merchandise must be in their original packing and in salable condition for a credit or refund to be issued.
- No damaged merchandise will be accepted.
Exclusions include:
- No credit or refund will be issued for Holiday Merchandise after the Holiday date.
- Clearance items are Final Sale. Items are not returnable or refundable.
- Coupons are non-refundable.
MANNER OF REFUND
Returns will be refunded in the following manner:
- Credit card adjustment or refund will be issued for trees, shrubs and roses returned within 7 days of purchase.
- Perished qualifying hardy guaranteed plant returns will be issued a merchandise credit only. No cash refunds or credit card adjustments will be issued on perished plants.
- Credit card adjustment or refund will be issued for qualifying merchandise returned with receipt and the returned product.
- Cash refunds over $50 will only be refunded by check.
SHIPPING
We do not ship. All items are to be picked up at Sugar Creek Gardens. If you would like a local delivery in the St. Louis region please contact us at sugarcreekgardens@gmail.com to discuss rates. Any returned item must be brought back to the store to receive credit.
ORDER + PICKUP
All online orders will be picked up at Sugar Creek Gardens. If you would like delivery please email at sugarcreekgardens@gmail.com for a price inquiry. Rates vary depending on the destination and amount and weight of plants.
Preorder Items
Preorder items will be available on the date noted on the item’s page. Because plant growth is dependent on the weather the available date is approximate and may change. We will notify you about date changes as they become available. We will only fill full orders. Once your full order is ready we will email you. You will have one week to pick up your order. Items not picked up in time will be restocked and a refund will be issued to the purchaser’s credit card.
Items In Stock
Items that are in stock at the nursery will be ready within two hours of ordering if the order was placed before 2 pm. After 2 pm orders will be ready by 11 am the following day. You will receive an email notification when your order is ready for pickup. Once you receive the email you will have one week to pick up your order. Items not picked up in time will be restocked and a refund will be issued to the purchaser’s credit card.
