GROWING and PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS for STRONG PLANTS, VIGOROUS GROWTH, and PROFUSE BLOOMS
Many plants we grow in St Louis need the same things: The correct light, well-draining good soil, and adequate moisture and fertilizer. Follow the simple instructions below and you too can have a garden overflowing with brilliant blossoms.
1. Plant in correct light environment for specific plant. The plant tag should tell you your plant’s light preference. Full sun plants need at least 6 hours of sun a day, most shade plants prefer morning sun with afternoon shade, or dapple light all day. 2. In the ground amend soil with compost >>> and add a starter fertilizer >>>. In containers use a good quality potting soil >>>.
3. For maximum blooming fertilize flowering plants. For an easy one season application use a slow release fertilizer following manufacturer’s instructions >>>. Newly planted trees, shrubs, vegetables, houseplants, and perennials benefit from fertilizer >>>.
