Yucca – Color Guard Adam’s Needle
Color Guard Yucca is an easy to grow, drought proof, deer and rabbit resistant plant. Long narrow leaves of gold with green edges form into a rounded spiky mound. Large plumes, 3-4′ in height, of white bloom in late spring. Evergreen foliage looks great all year long. In the cooler months of fall and winter, the light leaf centers take on rose overtones
Yuccas have extremely long root systems, making them thrive just about anywhere but consistently wet soils. Because of these long roots they are nearly impossible to move, make sure you’re happy with its placement before planting.
