Tulip Budlight Lily Flowering Tulip 6 Bulbs
Named after someone’s favorite beer, Budlight Lily-Flowering Tulip’s remarkable coloring of sunshine yellow with creamy white tips certainly resembles that frothy drink. Lily-flowering tulips feature distinctive blooms with a narrow flower that flares out at the tips. Grows about 20 inches tall.
Hardy according to the Chicago Botanic Garden:
“Lily-flowered tulips will return the next year if their ideal growing conditions are met. They require full sun and moist soils in winter that are allowed to dry out in summer. Foliage should not be removed until it turns yellow. Protect from deer, rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels, and voles whenever possible by interplanting with bulbs from the onion or amaryllis families.”
Plant bulbs in soil that has been amended with organic matter and a handful or so of bulb fertilizer, following manufacturer’s instructions. Plant in full sun. Plant bulbs the recommended depth on the planting tag, about 6-10″ deep. Plant 9 per square foot. Water in well.
Fertilizer: To get your bulbs off to a healthy start we recommend at planting applying an application of Espmoa Organic Bio Tone Starter Plus.
