Stylophorum diphyllum – Celandine PoppySKU: PR144701.
A long-blooming Missouri and Illinois native perennial, Celandine Poppy, Stylophorum diphyllum, brings many bright yellow, cup-shaped flowers to garden borders and natural settings. Its delightful flowers appear over a long time in spring into summer. Another outstanding feature is its pretty blue-green lobed foliage with silvery undersides. Its stems contain a yellow sap which was used by Native Americans as a dye. Very easy to grow in shade to part shade. Wonderful in the woodland garden, naturalized, and in rain gardens.
Plant in average to rich soil in shade to part shade locations. For best results add organic matter to the soil.
