Rudbeckia subtomentosa Sweet Coneflower
An easy to grow Missouri native plant, Sweet Coneflower, Rudbeckia tomentosa, delights us with sunny yellow daisies over a long period, from midsummer through late October. Their joyful flowers have a spicy scent.
Very easy to grow in average soil in full sun. Tolerant of hot summers, drought, deer and bad soil.
You can expect armloads of delightful cut flowers with this gem. Breathtaking in large sweeps, it makes a perfect choice for naturalized areas, working beautifully with its native companions Blazing Stars, Coneflowers, Turtleheads and more. A top selection for rain, butterfly and native gardens, perennial beds, or for the cut flower garden.
Plant in full sun and average, well-drained soil.
