Polemonium – Stairway To Heaven Jacob’s Ladder
A superior colorful selection, Stairway To Heaven Jacob’s Ladder, Polemonium, features green leaves with white leaf margins that are tinged pink. Its fascinating oval leaflets are arranged on its stems like the rungs of a ladder. Like other Polemoniums, but about three times larger in all respects. Lightly fragrant, pale lavender 3/4” bell-shaped flowers with white stamens are produced from late spring through early summer. Grows 1-2’.
Jacob Ladder is ideal to get the look of a fern, but even better than a fern, you get beautiful flowers too! It works well in partially shaded areas of perennial borders, naturalized areas, or woodland gardens. We Love to use it as an annual in mixed shade containers, its colorful unique foliage add a fascinating element.
Plant in rich soil in a shady location. It prefers moist soil.
