Phlox subulata – Blue Creeping Phlox
SKU: n/a.Blue Creeping Phlox, Phlox subulata, is completely covered with baby blue flowers in early spring. Its low-growing evergreen foliage always looks great. Use Blue Creeping Phlox as a lawn alternative, ground cover, or edger. This workhorse will cover tough hot spots with beautiful green foliage. Easy to care for, it needs no maintenance once established. An ideal plant for slopes where cutting and pruning can be difficult.
Old-time favorites, Creeping Phlox burst into bloom in early spring with colorful blossoms that will completely smother its evergreen foliage. Colors include pink, purple, red, white, and blue. Some are two-toned with colorful centers. Plants grow in low 2-6″ evergreen mounds. Plants make outstanding ground covers that look great all year. It is very easy to grow in sun to part shade. Drought tolerant.
Plant in sun to part sun in well-draining soil. Keep well watered until plants are established. It appreciates a good soaking during prolonged dry spells.
