Perovskia – Blue Jean Baby Russian Sage
A vigorous, profuse blooming selection, Blue Jean Baby Russian Sage, Perovskia, brings brilliant blue flowers to the landscape. Lavender blue flowers held in smoky purple calyxes bloom for a long period starting in midsummer, with the color from the calyxes extending appeal into fall. This variety is one of the earliest Perovskia to bloom. This fantastic selection works well in many situations. One of the shortest Russian Sages available reaching only 34″ tall when in bloom.
Russian Sage is unbeatable for mass display, as a specimen and for cutting. It is easy to grow in full sun. Tough as nails, it tolerates drought, and deer and rabbits don’t touch it.
Plant in full sun in well-draining soil. Although drought tolerant, for best blooming keep well watered when setting up buds and blooming. Plants benefit from good soakings during dry spells
