Onion Sweet
Enjoy fresh flavorful produce from your own garden with Sweet Onion. It features a sweeter, less pungent taste than typical onions. You’ll love it for salads, burgers, or your favorite fresh recipes. Easy to grow in any sunny spot. Onions are ready to harvest in mid summer.
Plant in full sun in soil that has been amended with compost or other organic matter. Plant about 6″ apart. Onions can be planted in early spring, 4-6 weeks before last frost date. Last frost date in St. Louis is about April 15. Fertilize plants and keep well watered. Harvest the onions when their foliage has turned brown.

Nursery Pickup and Ordering
- In stock items are ready for pickup two hours after placing an order before 2 pm
- Orders for stock items placed after 2 pm are ready by 11 am the next day
- An email notification will be sent when your order is ready and you’ll have one week to pick up
- Items not picked up will be restocked and a refund will be issued to the purchaser’s credit card
