Lover of hot and humid weather, Mandevilla will bloom all season long until frost. A unique, one of a kind color for Mandevilla. A member of the outstanding Diamantina Collection of varieties bred by Mandevilla and Dipladenia expert Lannes of France. This sun-loving vining beauty blooms earlier, plus it has increased branching and blooming. The series offers extreme heat, drought and bad weather resistance. Great alone or mixed with other sun-loving varieties in patio or garden containers with a support (like a trellis). Requires hand-training to a trellis.
Mandevilla work well planted in beds, in containers around pools and on patios, and in large landscapes. It grows 4-5′ tall, but can be pruned to a smaller size. It can be trimmed to fit any tropical lover’s space! This tropical vine can be grown for one season as an annual in St Louis, or can be over wintered inside. It will not tolerate a frost.
Plant Mandevilla in full sun to part shade. Mandevilla bloom best in sunny locations, in rich soil, and with consistent water and fertilizer. Fertilize with any all purpose fertilizer. To over winter indoors, before the first frost plants should be cut back and brought indoors. Treat as a houseplant over the winter months. Plants can be moved outdoors after danger of frost has passed.
