Lamium – Orchid Frost Spotted Deadnettle
A superior improvement over older varieties
Light up your shade garden and containers with the shiny silver-white foliage of Orchid Frost Deadnettle, Lamium. Orchid Frost offers great improvements over older cultivars. Unlike most others that suffer in the heat of summer, Orchid Frost holds up without foliage scorching or being overcome with leaf spots. Its clusters of large, pretty pink flowers appear in spring and early summer, then again when the weather cools down in fall. Tolerant of dry shade once established.
A beautiful selection, Orchid Frost Spotted Deadnettle works fantastic as a weed smothering groundcover. Its bright foliage brighten ups areas, and sets off everything around it. One of our most popular “spillers” for containers, either alone or mixed with other plants. Easy to grow. Deer and rabbit resistant.
Growing instructions: Plant in part shade or filtered light. In the ground, plant in soil that has been amended with compost or other organic matter. Use a good potting soil for container grown. Adding a starter fertilizer when planting with get plants off to a speedy start. Its evergreen foliage should be trimmed back hard in early spring.
