Iris siberica – Peacock Tipped In Blue Siberian Iris
SKU: n/a.$16.99
Like the belle of the ball, Peacock Tipped In Blue Siberian Iris, Iris siberica, gets all the attention with its spellbinding blossoms. It’s hard to look away from the flowers of soft blue-violet standards, edged yellow and tipped blue with contrasting yellow falls highlighted with prominent blue veining. Its magnificent blossoms create dazzling displays in the garden and the vase. Its beautiful flowers appear in early summer. Although its elegant flowers look delicate, don’t let that fool you, you’ll adore Peacock Tipped In Blue Siberian Iris for its tough constitution and ease of care.
Siberian Iris are top perennials and very garden-worthy plants with rich green, reed-like foliage topped in late spring and early summer by colorful flowers. They feature medium to broad, pendent or semi-flaring falls, and medium to long, upright standards. Signals often consist of showy, intricate white and yellow markings. Siberian Iris perform best with slightly moist and acidic soil yet tolerate drought once established. They are long-lived, pest-resistant, and require little maintenance. Their flowers and foliage are superior cut. The strap-like leaves make a great background for another plant. Deer and rabbit resistant. A member of the outstanding Peacock series of Siberian Iris.
Growing instructions: Plant Siberian Iris in full sun to partial shade locations. Add organic matter when planting. Although tolerant of drought, once established they will perform best with consistent moisture. Fertilize Siberian Iris in early spring when new growth starts, and again after blooming with an all-purpose balanced fertilizer following manufacturer’s instructions.
