Iris pallida – Aureo Variegata Sweet Iris
A popular Iris, Sweet Iris, Iris pallida Aureo Variegata, delights us with sweetly fragrant, pale lavender blue flowers. The flowers appear high above the foliage on tall scapes. Its exceptional sword-like leaf blades emerge in spring with creamy yellow margins.
Sweet Iris are showy perennials that look fantastic in and out of bloom. They add considerable interest to gardens and look fabulous in containers as the “thriller,” or vocal point of containers.
Plants prefer full sun but are tolerant of partial shade. Drought tolerant once established. Very reliable and disease resistant.
Plant in full sun to part shade in well-draining soil.
