An elegant addition to the sun garden, Lenora Pearl Repeat Blooming Border Bearded Iris, features beautifully ruffled, shell pink blossoms with tangerine beards. The delightful, fragrant blossoms first appear in early summer and then again in late summer into fall. A well-branched selection with many flowers. An award winner with a vigorous growth habit. You’ll enjoy armloads of cut flowers for bouquets. Grows about 2′ tall.
Smaller versions of Tall Bearded Iris, Border Bearded Iris bloom at the same time as Tall Bearded Iris. The repeat bloomers bloom first in early summer, then again in late summer into fall. Bordered Bearded Iris have round, ruffled petals that complement their smaller stature.
Very easy to grow in full sun. Border Bearded Iris prefers well-drained soil. Drought tolerant, deer and rabbit resistant.
Winner of the prestigious Knowlton Medal, the highest award given by the American Iris Society strictly to Border Bearded Iris.
Important growing tip: To encourage repeat bloom, keep your Iris well-watered and fertilized during summer. After the first flush of blooms remove spent flowers before the seeds set. This will direct the energy into beefing up your plant for the next round of blossoms.
