Hydrangea Alice, Oakleaf Hydrangea
A spectacular shrub, Alice is one of the largest of the Oakleaf Hydrangeas. In summer, huge 10-14″ white flower panicles in the shape of cones appear. Their flowers dry on the shrub to a soft pink, and may persist throughout winter. Its flowers are robust, remaining up even in heavy rain. Its large oakleaf shaped, deeply lobed foliage turns brilliant burgundy in fall. A bold selection that works well as a handsome and stately accent for foundations and borders, or as a magnificent hedge or screen. Plants grow 5-8′ tall and wide. Deciduous.
Plant in sun or shade. For best results plant in rich soil and keep well watered.
