Hydrangea Firelight Tidbit Panicle Hydrangea
Firelight Tidbit Panicle Hydrangea provides big showy flowers on a nicely formed petite plant. Bright lime green flowers emerge in summer transition to snowy white then quickly turn a bright dragon fruit pink. Fall adds bright orange and yellow leaves. Growing 2-3′ tall and wide, fitting well into mixed gardens or used as a small hedge.
Plant in full sun to part shade in soil that has been amended with compost. Apply a starter fertilizer or an all purpose fertilizer when planting, we use Starter with Bio Tone Organic Fertilizer. Fertilizing consistently will give you best results. Stop fertilizing in late summer. Although fancy pruning is not needed, Panicle Hydrangeas bloom on the current season’s growth. They can be pruned in late winter to early spring. You can cut them back to the ground, or if you want taller plants cut them back to 1-3′ feet.
Offered in-house. Subject to availability.
