Hosta Stained Glass
A wonderful variety with shiny leaves that can grow 10.5″ long. Its brilliant gold leaves with wide dark green margins have prominent veins giving the plant the look of “stained glass.” Large, fragrant light lavender flowers appear in summer on 30″ scapes. Hostas are excellent perennials for shade that require minimal care. They are lovely massed in woodland settings or used as specimens. With their weed smothering foliage, they make idea ground covers. Although they are tough plants that can withstand periods of drought, for best results keep well watered during dry spells.
Plant in full to light shade in soil that has been amended with compost or other organic matter. Adding a starter fertilizer when planting will establish your plant fast. Keep well watered until established, when plant is setting up buds and blooming, and during dry spells.
