Hosta Mighty Mouse
Mighty Mouse Hosta brings fascinating leaves with beautiful color all in a mini package. This small but mighty hosta is a variegated sport of the award winning Hosta ‘Blue Mouse Ears’. In spring, the rounded thick leaves are blue-green with a bright creamy yellow margin. As the days warm the leaves transition to grey-green with a creamy white margin. Incredible thick substance. Lavender flowers on perfectly proportioned 6-9″ stalks appear in early summer. Compact, Mighty Mouse Hosta reaches only 6-7″ tall and spreads 12″ wide. Slug resistant.
This small Hosta makes a perfect addition to troughs or other patio containers with good winter drainage. Plant it together or alone, it adds wonderful color and texture. It works fantastic as a showy edger and ground cover.
Plant Hostas in soil that has been amended with organic matter, in shade to part shade.
