Heuchera Frilly, Coral Bell
Frilly Coral Bell, Heuchera, boasts being the first in the world Coral Bell with heavily ruffled foliage. Its delightful leaves range in colorful hues from caramel, gold, yellow, to bronze and mauve. Light exposure determines the leaf color. In summer, small, bell-shaped, pale pink flowers float above its leaves on long, feathery, colorful mauve stems. Plants are incredibly vigorous, forming full, dense clumps. A hybrid of Heuchera villosa, an eastern U.S. native species that is unsurpassed for longevity, and looks good and thrives even in prolonged heat and humidity.
A garden designer’s favorite, Coral Bells’ superior mounded form and striking evergreen leaves makes them ideal for containers and edging, or for neat and tidy designs. Coral Bells prefer morning sun and afternoon shade. Hummingbirds and butterflies adore its blossoms.
