Gymnocladus dioicus – Kentucky Coffee Tree
SKU: n/a.$79.99
Kentucky Coffee Tree,Gymnocladus dioicus, is a relic of the past that still provides delightful uses for now and the future. Large seed pods were once eaten by giant sloths that lived across North America until about 10,000 years ago. This delightful large tree grows tall, but not that wide making it excellent for the front yard. The small leaflets create dappled shade which is excellent to plant under.
Designated a Plant of Merit by Missouri Botanical Gardens for its outstanding beauty and ability to thrive in the St. Louis area.
Plant in full sun. Keep well watered until the tree gets established and during dry spells.
