Goldfish Plant Black Gold, Columnea gloriosa
Adorable orange flowers look like your favorite aquatic pet on the Goldfish Plant, Columnea gloriosa. Deep waxy green leaves are flushed with burgundy when the emerge. As the plant matures upright stalks will flop over, turning into a graceful waterfall of showy flowers and foliage.
This easy houseplant prefers bright indirect light. Expect to see most blooms in spring and summer. Keep plant well-watered, but allow top 2″ of soil to dry out between waterings. Prefers humidity, mist the regularly or keep in a humid room like the bathroom.
