Fothergilla Mount Airy
The color-changing wonder, Fothergilla ‘Mount Airy’ looks different all year long. Before leaves in emerge in spring fragrant bottle brush shaped flowers appear in masses. Once flowering ends rounded green foliage with blue undersides form into a medium sized rounded shrub. As the weather cools into fall leaves begin to turn reds yellows and oranges. Very easy to grow and tolerant of many different light exposures.
Plant Fothergilla in full sun to part shade locations in moist well-drained soils. Performs best in morning sun and afternoon shade.
