Eupatorium Elegant Feather – Dog Fennel
Want to try something a little different in your containers? Try Elegant Feather Dog Fennel, Eupatorium. Tall stalks of narrow foliage flow in the wind. Growing 3-6′ tall this unusual plant is perfect for the center of containers or planted alone for a showy accent. A sterile selection of the Missouri native, will not produce seed. Can occasionally get taller than 6′. While this is considered hardy in St. Louis we recommend planting it as an annual as it can become aggressive outside of a container.
Plant in full sun to part shade. For best results keep well watered and fertilize with an all purpose fertilizer.
