Echinacea – The Price Is White Coneflower
You’ll win the big prize with The Price Is White Coneflower, Echinacea. Its winning blossoms are made up of huge, overlapping, horizontal white petals all accented with large green cones and bright yellow pollen. Flowers are 5″ wide and held over rich green foliage. Makes a stunning cut flower.
A member of the outstanding Color Coded series of Coneflowers. These choice varieties were selected for their excellent basal branching, flower performance, large flower size, and horizontally held petals. They bring all the fascinating pollinators, and during late fall to winter the seed heads serve as food for birds.
Growing instructions: Plant in full sun, at least 6 hours of sun a day, in well-draining soil. Add organic matter to soil when planting. For best flowering, keep well watered, especially when plants are setting up bloom and blooming. Let plants dry out between watering. An occasional squirt of liquid fertilizer will improve flowering. Deadheading spent blossoms will encourage more flowers.
