Dracaena Warneckii adds a delicate tropical touch to the home. Glossy green strappy leaves with white pinstriped markings slightly arch. This easy to grow plant will slowly grow to about 6-8′. Leaves grow along the trunk from top to bottom, but lower leaves can be removed to create a tree form.
It works fantastic as a houseplant indoors or outdoors as a stand alone specimen, or it can be added to mixed seasonal containers. Easy to grow, it tolerates low light but also does well in bright, indirect light. Due to its ease of care and handsome looks, it makes a popular choice for schools, shopping centers, offices, and homes.
Plant in well-draining, good potting soil. Fertilize plants when they are actively growing, usually April through Aug, following fertilizer manufacturer’s directions. Water plants when the soil surface gets dry, usually about once or twice a week. Let plants dry out a bit in between watering. Plants will require less water during fall and winter months. Dracaena plant likes humidity. To add humidity, place plants on a bed of wet pebbles or mist occasionally. Plants prefer warm temperatures and should not be moved outdoors until night temperatures are at lease 60 degrees or more. The bottom leaves will turn brown and should be pinched off.
