Diervilla Honeybee Dwarf Bush Honeysuckle
$19.99
With its bright yellow foliage and abundant yellow, sweetly scented flowers, Honeybee Diervilla is adored by humans and pollinators alike. The striking yellow leaves and flowers bring bright light to even the dullest corners. The shrubs are loaded with clusters of yellow trumpet shaped flowers all season. In fall the foliage turns to deep crimson. Very easy to grow and not fussy about care. An ideal shrub for those tough dry, shaded areas.
Not to be confused with the invasive Bush Honeysuckle. Diervilla is not a true honeysuckle, only shares the common name due to its “honeysuckle-like” yellows.
A tough plant that does well even with inhospitable soil types. Diervilla tolerates shade, drought, erosion, clay soils, dry soils, urban conditions and is deer resistant. Its sweetly fragrant flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Diervilla matures to a densely branched shrub that forms underground suckers. Direvilla is ideal for your hardest spots, naturalizing, or erosion control on hillsides.
Plant in full sun to part shade.
