Dalea purpurea – Purple Prairie Clover
SKU: n/a.$13.99
This Missouri and Illinois native treasure delights us with distinctive 2” dense, cone-like florets of purple that top wiry stems. The adorable purple flowers that bloom around the long cones, look like a bouquet of party hats. A nitrogen-fixing plant, it helps establish Midwestern prairie restorations. Having a long taproot makes this beauty extremely drought-tolerant but difficult to move. Its fine textured foliage adds another outstanding feature.
A nectar source for many pollinators, Purple Prairie Clover is ideal for native gardens and naturalized gardens. It helps prevent erosion and is drought-tolerant.
Plant in full sun areas.
