Coreopsis – Gilded Lace Tickseed
Top Performer at Renown Trial Garden
From the prestigious Mt. Cuba Center in Pennsylvania comes ‘Gilded Lace’ Tickseed, Coreopsis. This tall beauty features loads of sunny yellow flowers that bloom high over gorgeous lacy foliage all summer long and well into fall. An extremely long bloomer, you can expect flowers for a full 18 weeks! A pollinator favorite, expect to see bees, butterflies, and other pollinators visiting these happy flowers. A recent top performer of a Coreopsis trial at the Mt. Cuba Center, the Center reported:
Coreopsis ‘Gilded Lace’ truly impressed us with its floriferous and long-lasting floral display. It was also a great boon to pollinators who were frequently observed visiting this plant.
A cross between a Missouri native plant Coreopsis tripteris and the parent plant of the favorite Moonbeam Tickseed – Coreopsis verticillata.
Plant in full sun and well draining soil. Fertilize with a balanced garden fertilizer following manufacturer’s directions. 30 days before the last expected frost, fertilize for the last time for the year.
