Cercis Black Pearl Redbud
A standout from other purple-leaved redbuds, Black Pearl features extremely deep purple coloration almost to the point the leaves appear black. Glossy leaves keep their intense color well through summer. Reaches 20 feet tall and 25 feet wide. Bright lavender flowers appear in spring before the foliage.
Fantastic as a specimen, focal point for a garden, along woodlands and in lawns. It works well in front of homes where a small, decorative ornamental tree is needed.
Plant in full sun to light shade. Keep well watered until established. The trees benefit from occasional fertilizing and deep watering during dry spells.
