Cedrus Horstmann – Blue Atlas Cedar

Smaller and slower growing than its parent, Horstmann Atlas Cedar, Cedrus atlantica, stuns with its baby-blue evergreen needles. New growth needles emerge a soft blue-green before maturing to powder-blue. Graceful delicate stems shoot out in a starburst pattern from the leader trunk. Use Horstmann Atlas Cedar to feature a stunning specimen in the mixed perennial garden, to accent a wall or soften the edge of a house.
Plant Atlas Cedar in moist well-drained soils in sunny locations. Drought tolerant once established. Best planted with winter wind protection.
