Caryopteris Sunshine Blue ll, Bluebeard
An improved version of yellow-leaved Bluebeard, Caryopteris, Sunshine Blue ll is much more tolerant of cold climates than others. In fact, some believe it to be the hardiest Caryopteris yet. Colorful all season, its brilliant gold foliage brightens the landscape. In late summer into fall blue misty flowers appear creating a magnificent combination of foliage and flowers. A vigorous variety with a superior growing habit. Its intense blue flowers make it a great late nectar source for butterflies and other pollinators.
Sunshine Blue ll Bluebeard is perfect alone on a balcony or patio, in perennial borders, and in mixed containers. A good cut flower. Easy to grow. Grows 24-36″ tall and spreads 24-36″.
Plant in full sun in well drained soil. Prune the plants back hard in early spring to promote new stems. Tolerant of dry soil once established.
